Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving!  This was the first year that we hosted for my family.  Unfortunately, Jason, Beth, and the kids couldn’t come down, but Dee-Dee, Grandaddy, Mae, and Doe-Doe all made the trip.  I made enough food to feed a small army.  I adopted the saying, “come hungry, leave happy” for the weekend.  Since we won’t see them Christmas, Mae and Doe-Doe brought presents with them.  Jim finally got his toaster oven that he has been asking for for more than a year!  He was super excited!  Will got a train set.  He was mesmerized by it!  He thought it was so cool.  We thought that once the music was turned off, it was very cool too.  🙂  It was so nice to have family here.  Thanksgiving day, we made the rest of the food and ate and ate until I could feel my arteries clogging, but it was a great day!  Mae and Doe-Doe left on Friday, but Dee-Dee and Grandaddy stayed another day.  They helped us get the last few things done in the house.  It was so nice to have everyone here.  Now that we have a nice big house, everyone fits comfortably!  I am very thankful for my family!!
