1 year 23 weeks old

Will is 75 weeks old.  This has been a great week.  We had a fantastic Christmas weekend.  It was relaxing and just what we wanted for Christmas.  We have been so busy the past several months that we just wanted a little R&R.  Monday, Dee-Dee and Grandaddy came down from visiting everyone in NoVa.  It was so nice of them to stop by, and Will loved seeing them.  He had such a great time playing with them while they were here.  Then we finished up with some play dates and another relaxing weekend ringing in the New Year!

We had to make another trip to the dermatologist this week too.  Will’s butt just isn’t getting better.  This time, they gave us 2 new prescriptions.  Luckily none were over $20!  One is a topical antifungal and the other is an oral antibiotic.  We also had to add cranberry juice to his diet to change the pH of his urine and greek yogurt and some other bland foods to his diet to help him tolerate the oral medicine.  So far, he doesn’t seem to be affected by it.  We need to continue with every other day bleach baths, but now we alternate them with a salt water bath.  We heard back about the culture that they took, and it came back negative.  That is good news that there is no sort of infection in the sores.  We go back January 11th, so we are hoping for major improvement.

We also spent this past weekend reflecting on 2010 and looking forward to 2011.  2010 was a great year for us.  We sold our house and moved into our beautiful new home.  We look forward to making a lot of new memories in this house for many years to come!  Our family truly is blessed beyond belief, and we are extremely thankful for all of the family and friends that enrich our lives.  I had no doubts that Jim and I would have a wonderful life together, but this is truly better than we could have ever imagined.  We are not big resolution people; our resolutions usually are to be the best that we can be.  I know that sounds lame, but isn’t that the bottom line of most people’s resolutions anyway?  Thanks 2010 for being so great . . . on to even bigger and better in 2011!
