Mid-town Manhattan

Our hotel in NYC was in the best location.  It was in Mid-town Manhattan, directly across the street from Madison Square Garden.  That is also a subway stop with trains to NJ, so Jim could just walk across the street in the morning and jump on a train to work.  It was a few blocks from everything . . . Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, Empire State Building, Central Park, and other cool spots.  Since we didn’t have a car and the subway was difficult to navigate with a stroller alone, I had to walk everywhere, so location was key.  🙂

Our first day there, Jim didn’t have to go into the office for several hours, so we walked up to Times Square and explored.  We went into a toy store to find some place for will to get out and run around.  We stopped by Rockefeller Center to see the ice skaters.  I wanted to go so badly, but what to do with Will?  The last time I was in NYC, I was 5 months pregnant with Will.  Christie and I went ice skating at Rockefeller.  It was awesome; although, Jim was not happy with me when I told him.  I just love to have fun.  🙂  We also headed over to the NY Public Library.  Last year, Christie gave Will the book Good Night New York . . . a spin-off of Good Night Moon.  Will and I read it all of the time, so we wanted to see some fo the sights and get pictures with some of the things in his book.  We also went by Bryant Park and listened to music and watched the ice skaters there too.  We had a great day.
