1 year, 12 weeks

Will is 64 weeks old.  He finally started saying “dada” this week.  It is so stinking cute; as soon as he sees Jim, he points and says, “dada.”  I swear that kid is the cutest.  He’s been saying mama for a long time now, so I know Jim is stoked that he’s finally included.  Not to mention he doesn’t point at me and say “mama.”  We’ve had another busy week at the new house, and Will has learned a new skill.  He’s been going down steps for months and has gotten really good at it.  I don’t even stand at the steps anymore when he’s going up and down.  It is one of his favorite things to do:  up, down, up, down, up, down . . . for as long as I let him.  But now instead of going down the stairs one at a time, he slides down on his belly.  It is a good thing that our stairs are only halves with a twist in the middle because he gets some speed sliding.  He has always been Mr. Independent, but it has gotten much worse.  He won’t let me feed him at all any more.  Not even hold a banana for him to take bites off of.  He has to feed himself.  It makes food choices more limited since he can’t use a spoon, os he only will eat chunks of food.

For Will’s weekly picture, he was dressed in his typical fall Sunday attire . . . Steelers clothes.  This week, he wore his jersey that Uncle Jason gave him for his birthday.  It is his very first (of many I’m sure) real jersey.  Personally, I think it is the cutest thing I have ever seen!  Thanks Uncle Jason, it is a major hit in our house!
