36 weeks

Will is 36 weeks old.  He’s starting to really reach out for you if he wants you to pick him up or hold him.  It is very difficult to resist!  I always carry him to his crib at night while Jim follows and makes funny noises and faces.  The past couple of nights, Will reaches out for Jim to carry him.  I think it is so cute that he has his preferences.   He has also gotten over being afraid of the dark.  I started letting “jump on the crib mattress” before I laid him down.  He saw it as “fun” instead of scary bed time.  We have had two instances this week where he freaked out at his first nap time.  I think he is just going through a phase that will hopefully pass as quickly as it did at bedtime.

We are having major problems getting him to take his weekly picture.  Each week it seems to be getting more and more difficult.  Today we tried on two separate occasions, and you’ll see the best of what we were able to get below.

Notice, no dog and no smile. :(

Notice the addition of the dog, now you can't even see Will's face.

After 4 outfit changes for the day, Will hung out in his diaper until bath time. We couldn't even get a picture of him sitting up before he dove for the dog.

Now he's comfortable.

Now he's comfortable.

He played with it until he knocked it off the chair. Had we not been there, Will would have followed it to the ground.
