Christmas 2009

Team Walton made the trip up to DC for Christmas.  We spent the holiday with the whole Bagby Clan.  Peyton really understands the meaning of Christmas, and it was so great to get to see the innocence of the holiday through her eyes!  It is the first time that Jim and I have spent Christmas with the family since the introduction of any of the kids.  It was so much fun to be on the other side of Christmas.  Jason, Beth, Jim, and I went to the basement on Christmas Eve to assemble many of Peyton and Connor’s toys from Santa.  Then Peyton followed Santa’s journey around the world online.  Granddaddy Tom read The Night Before Christmas before everyone went to bed.  As always when we get together, there was good food and good company.  Christmas morning came super early, but it was totally worth it when we got to see the kids come downstairs to see all that Santa had left for them.  It was priceless!  Santa was super generous to everyone this year, but the best part was being all together!!  After a long morning of opening presents, we enjoyed the traditional Christmas morning breakfast.  Stuffed and tired, most of us napped away the afternoon.  Will didn’t nap well because he was over stimulated from all of the festivities.  Everyone was awake in time for the delicious dinner and then early to bed for all of the kiddos.  It was such a great day.  Saturday we planned to get up and drive to Pittsburgh to spend the weekend with Gran and Pap, but unfortunately the weather forecast was poor for the area all weekend.  There was no telling what the roads would be like, so we headed home instead.  Gran and Pap, we’ll have to get together soon.

  2. Just look at Will focusing in on that McDonald’s ice cream cone. I think his Mom likes ice cream, too.
