Swimming Fun

Will has been to pools and oceans several times before, but he was so small that we never actually put him in the water.  Now that Will is a little bit older and loves bath time, we thought that he would enjoy the water.  Since the temperature was in the 20s, we were all bundled up walking to the pool and felt somewhat strange wearing our bathing suits under the multiple layers of clothes.  Once in the indoor pool, it was warm enough not to worry about Will being too cold.  Will enjoyed the water.  We bought a float for him to hang out in, and he seemed to like it.  Sunday evening we got bundled back up and headed over to the pool for a second night.  Clearly we didn’t read the hours of operation because it was closed by the time we got there.  Since Will seemed to like the pool and we had already put on our swim trunks, we decided to make a homemade pool.  There was an extremely large Jacuzzi tub in our bathroom, so we filled it with water and all got in.  Will drifted around in his float while Jim and I enjoyed the jets!  🙂  It was a great alternative to the real pool.  Plus, we didn’t have to brave the elements to get there and back.  Tuesday, we once again headed over to the pool, but it was full of people in the 3 ft area, so we just came back to the room and made another homemade pool.  Team Walton once again piled into our Jacuzzi tub.  What a great idea!
