7 weeks old

Will is now 7 weeks old!!  I can’t believe that time is flying by this quickly!!  We are starting to get into more of a pattern.  I wouldn’t call it a schedule yet because it still revolves around when he is hungry, and I still feed him on demand.  But we have a little routine.  Once I deem it is morning, we follow a small routine, then during the day we try to keep the “eat, play, sleep” routine, then whenever he eats a meal between 6:30 and 9:00, we follow his night time routine.  I hope that all of our patterns start to make him easier to put down to bed and make life a little bit more structured.   I am crossing my fingers that he’ll settle into a schedule soon!!

Almost caught the smile

Almost caught the smile

  1. That’s smile enough for me. Look at those little piggies!

  2. Hang in there–It does get so much easier. It took Mallory about 3-4 weeks to get the whole “eat, play sleep” schedule down but now it works like a dream!!! Stick with it!!!! SHe still doesn’t sleep though the night (gets up 2x a night) but our days are great and she is a much happier baby now that she gets plenty of sleep during naps. Ethan never slept as a baby. It was soooo hard. Now he is the best sleeper ever. We have to drag him out of bed in the morning to get ready for kindergarten. Ironic how we used to try to get him to sleep and now we can’t wake him up. Every baby is different and you always get so much advice from everyone so here is my advice–Don’t listen to everybody else. Go with your gut and do what you think is best for Will. Mother’s intuition is always right.
